Although the first few books came out on a regular basis, the ninth book, Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers (advertised in a teaser at the end of the eighth book), wasn’t released until 2012, after a six-year wait. During this time, Dav Pilkey was caring for his terminally ill father, who died in 2008. In 2009, he signed a deal with Scholastic for four new books, the first of which was The Adventures of Ook and Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future, released August 10, 2010. The second was Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers, released June 28, 2011. The third book, Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers, was released August 28, 2012. The fourth book, Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers, was released January 16, 2013.
In order for a child to be happy and develop well, the role that parents play is extremely critical. They are the children’s first heroes and friends. Children learn most of their first lessons and concepts of the world around them from their parents. This is why parents should understand the ways to put their children’s creativity and mental abilities to positive use. Among the easiest ways to do this is through encouraging the children in coloring at a young age. Children who begin coloring at an early age have fewer mental problems than those who don’t. They are also better writers and artists, have fuller imaginations, and learn important life lessons and values more easily.
Instead of using crayons the difference is that kids can use markers to create their very own unique transfer. Even washable markers, perfect for younger kids, will work as the magic comes out in the technology used in the manufacture of the transfer paper. Actually, kids of all ages enjoy designing their very own image that is ironed onto a t-shirt, pillow, jacket or whatever cloth works with regular iron-on transfers. In fact, using the Magic Color Page is ideal for creating 'one of a kind' gifts for family and friends.
Coloring pages are a simple and easy way to keep kids happy and entertained while they are learning. The internet is the perfect medium for finding and producing coloring products for kids. Coloring pages are now available in digital form e.g. pdf files. Simply find the pages your child likes, order the product and print out the pages. It's the perfect use of the internet - simple and affordable.
Coloring pages can provide enrichment by providing pictures of numbers, letters, animals, and words, so that your child will expand their knowledge in a number of areas. Your child will receive the greatest educational benefit when the coloring pages bring all of these elements together, such as when there is a picture of an animal with it's name written on the page, or when numbers are shown with the name of the number written out, or even a two-sided coloring page with one side showing the letter, number or word, and the other side of the page depicting an animal whose shape resembles the letter or number on the previous page. Take for example a coloring page that has a number one, along with a giraffe that is reminiscent of a number one in it's shape. Your child will not only have fun coloring the number and animal, but their lesson will also include writing the number one and being introduced to a giraffe.
