The popularity and performance of muscle cars grew in the early 1960s, as Mopar (Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler) and Ford battled for supremacy in drag racing. The 1961 Chevrolet Impala offered an SS package for $53. 80, which consisted of a 409 cu in (6. 7 L) V8 engine producing 425 hp (317 kW) and upgraded brakes, tires and suspension. The 1962 Dodge Dart 413 (nicknamed Max Wedge) had a 413 cu in (6. 8 L) V8 which produced 420 hp (313 kW) and could cover the quarter mile in under 13 seconds.
In 1963, two hundred Ford Galaxie “R-code” cars were factory built specifically for drag racing, resulting in a full-size car which could cover the quarter mile in a little over 12 seconds. Upgrades included fiberglass panels, aluminum bumpers, traction bars and a 427 cu in (7. 0 L) racing engine conservatively rated at 425 hp (317 kW). The road legal version of the Galaxie 427 used the “Q-code” engine which produced 410 hp (306 kW). The following year, Ford installed 427 engine in the smaller and lighter Fairlane body, creating the Ford Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt included several weight-saving measures (including acrylic windows and fibreglass/aluminium body panels and bumpers) and a stock Thunderbolt could cover the quarter-mile in 11. 76 seconds. The Thunderbolt was technically road legal, however it was considered unsuitable for “for driving to and from the (drag)strip, let alone on the street in everyday use”. A total of 111 Thunderbolts were built.
But other than all this, it is the vast amount of creativity that your child will produce on paper that you will be most amazed at. Children can imagine stuff, and they love to experiment. They are bound to do so even in the area of hues and shades, and will be quite eager to try out various color combinations and shading techniques on these coloring pages. Believe me, coloring pages are the first step to producing very highly artistic individuals, who will be much more perceptive than their peers, and will show a greater amount of creativity in all their endeavors.
Children who use coloring pages will also better their ability to concentrate. Being able to concentrate is an important skill for children to have, and the earlier they start developing it, the better. Focusing on a drawing on a page does much for children. Children learn to be patient as they take their time to apply colors to the images in the coloring book. Problems with hyperactivity and attention deficit disorders, as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also known as ADHD, are diminished, psychologists believe, in children who devote a good portion of their time to coloring pages. Finally, children who are involved in coloring pages will most likely experience fewer psychological problems when they are young. The reason for this is that the minds of children, who are able to enjoy using their imaginations to create exciting worlds filled with fantasy and adventure, are strong and flexible. This coloring creativity aids them in steering clear of problems like childhood depression.
If you are looking to give your child the most constructive and creative activity possible, which will keep them happily engaged in their own world, at least for some time, then you have come to just the right place. There exists an amazingly successful and innovative way of keeping your kid busy for long enough to allow you to some amount of relaxation and rest – coloring pages. Coloring pages can be easily downloaded and printed from the internet, free of cost, as many times as you want. They provide you with a brilliant solution when it comes to having a group of noisy and rowdy kids over at your place, and you do not have any activity to keep them from creating sheer chaos in the house. Seriously, kids turn into angels when they get their hands on one of these coloring pages, for they love anything to do with colors, perceptive and curious as they are, especially if they are able to lay their hands on their favorite characters or scenes, such as fairies and care bear etc. hence, it would be our duty to provide them with just what they want – a set of fairy coloring pages, or care bear coloring pages, which they can sit and color at their leisure, and be proud of after they are done.
The caterpillar liquefies its whole structure and soft tissues in order to modify into a butterfly. He or she becomes happy by eating leaves from a tree, because it knows it will become a butterfly when it eats a lot. Eventually, he or she pupates. It would be difficult to think an ordinary looking caterpillar can be transformed into this kind of elegant flying creature.
